How to use 'Your IRS Rebate check

As you may have heard, the Administration said each of us would get a rebate check to stimulate the economy. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China. If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs, if we purchase a computer it will go to India, if we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala, if we purchase a good car it will go to Japan, if we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy. We need to keep that money here in America. The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at yard sales, since those are the only businesses still in the U.S.

Hello! That is so funny and true. Your blog is so cute! And that quote, if someone hasn't already guessed it, is Pirates of the Caribbean! (One of my most fave movies..) :)

Yeah, well, we won't have to worry about that, because we don't qualify. Now how sad is this? We don't get it because Brian didn't MAKE enough money last year. Does that make any sense to you?! I thought it was us "poor people" who were supposed to get this!

Does stashing it away in savings help the economy? Most likely not.... oh well. That's what us thrifty people in the K family will be doing with it. Saving it for a rainy day. (That and maybe a few home improvement projects I might not be able to resist...).

Yeah, I think ours will go towards credit cards...or maybe savings. It won't go towards anything "fun"...something responsible.

Where are you From???
