Out to the Farm.

This weekend we had a unexpectedly fun time.

Mr. N's family has a farm about 2 1/2 hours northeast of us. Mr. N's uncle lives on the farm and does most of the up-keep. Mr. N's dad practically lives at the farm during the summer. It's a six hour drive for him, so the farm is quite a commitment.

On Saturday night, Grandpa E called. He was out at the farm for probably the last time this year, and his car broke down. The car was towed, and that left him stranded. So, this morning (Sunday), we packed up

the baby,

diapers,

coats,

food,

snacks,

sippy cup,

blankets,

toys,

people,

music,

and lunch

(Gone are the days that we could just go)

and drove the 2 1/2 hours to the farm. It was really a beautiful drive thanks to the recent snow. This was Little M and my first visit to the farm.

It was a lot of fun.

We got to see Grandpa E and Uncle L working.

This is Uncle L pulling a hose on his ... I think it's a motorcycle?

Mr. N connecting the hose.

I saw a sign once that said:

Caution, Men at work.

Women work all the time,

Men have to put up signs when they work.

.......

That doesn't apply to these men...

they are some of the hardest working men I know!
