Can you Believe it's September!

Can you believe it's September!

No.

So here's our big news...After 3 years of marriage we broke down and now we're getting a new – or shall I say a second car. The funny thing is that this was brought about because Mr. N actually did break down. Lucky for him he works in a place where cars are not in short supply. Thanks to our brother-in-law, Mr. N was made aware of a nice Toyota Camry that a little old lady had just traded in. Mr. N got to drive it home (since the Corolla had a dead battery and no jumper cables). We both liked it and decided to take the plunge. After all...it will help us build credit since we've never had a car payment before…and who doesn’t like spending money on more car insurance and gasoline…especially when gas prices are so low!
Did everyone catch the sarcasm there…

So we now have a bigger car.

The only thing is Mr. N doesn’t like gold cars. He tried to convince me it was tan…

I told him it looked gold to me…

A fellow sales guy told him it was “granny” gold….

My mom said her car (which is the same color) is called sand…

Mr. N is holding to the firm belief that it is tan.

And after 9 months of not washing the Corolla I broke down and took it to get washed. It was beautiful! One hour later the beautiful blue sky that showed no hint of rain was pouring rain outside. Isn’t life grand!

(For all who care, the Corolla is up and running again.)

Enough with the car news.

Little M and I had a pretty uneventful week. She has become obsessed with paper. When she sees it she does anything in her tiny power to get it and put it in her mouth. I’ve had to fish out little pieces of paper from her mouth several times. She ate my shopping list the other day too…at least half of it. I’m going to put the remainder in her baby book as a reminder. If only it was Christmas time now…she would be in HEAVEN with all the wrapping paper!

She is getting really good at imitating us too. Mr. N likes to make Chewbacca sounds to her and now she makes them back. It is quite humorous. She loves to clap her hands of course. Her latest thing (and I think it’s cause we usually tilt our heads a little when we talk to her) is that she tilts her head completely to the side and looks around at the world. It’s really funny. At first we thought there was something wrong with her…but no. She’s just silly!

So that’s all the news on our end. My sister’s husband got deployed (or do you say he’s on TDY) to the desert for 2 months. Everyone is very sad about that, especially her boys. To see her blog go to:

Also, she and my mom are going to be in a walk for breast cancer soon. If you're interested in seeing their website, contact me and I'll send the link!
