The girls have had keen interest in balloons lately. It has largly to do with the bag of balloons downstairs. Last night in the living room there had to be 8 or so balloons rolling around. Mr. N and I decided to make a couple hot air balloons for the girls. It turned out to be really fun. All you need are balloons, paper cups, straws (or pipe cleaner) and tape! Presto! A really fun toy...that cost absolutely nothing.
Take a closer look...M got her hair cut on Friday finally. It had been about 11 months since her last cut, and her ends were really in need of a trim. In addition, it really needed to be "fixed" after M cut her own hair with my sewing scissors. Mom (me) fixed it a bit, but it didn't look great. It's tapered in the front now to compensate for M giving herself long bangs. The spot on the side where she practically scalped herself is blended really well and I've started parting her hair in the middle to cover it. Fortunately the child has a ton of hair, so it's easily covered. It looks a lot better now...and I can't get over how grown up M looks.
And here is L, looking like a wild-child. That's how she always looks when her hair isn't done. Then when its brushed and done she looks like a sweet little princess. Its an amazing transformation. She wants a hair cut too now...but will need to wait a bit.
Mr. N snapped this shot of me putting the girls toys away. As for other news with us, he was accepted into the program at UT Southwestern (the Dallas campus). We still don't have our applications in yet for the other programs because the deadlines aren't until January. He's not sure whether he wants to go ahead with Texas or apply to the other programs. Decisions, decisions. I'd like him to check out Georgia, but the problem is we don't have an other $500 to drop on a plane ticket and hotel. We could always put it on the credit card...but I hate doing that. Anyways, lots of fun decisions in the E house!

That's great news! Good luck in all the decision making. In the words of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, the movie, "Decisions are the Worst!"
