Life is sufficient to teach each person the things we need to learn to return to our Heavenly Father in a variety of different manners. My trials probably aren't your trials, and visa versa. Each of our experiences helps us learn and understand the world in ways we didn't before. Usually I look back on my trials with gratitude for what I learned from the experience, but no desier to repeat it. Usually.
Anyways, here are some pictures from Christmas. Enjoy!
Among other things, Emmy was so excited to get a big Dora doll for Christmas. The girls are big fans of Dora. Several months ago we were triving to our church (we pass the library to go to church) and Mr. N asked me, "Do you think the girls watch too much Dora?" Right on que we heard Emmy say to Elle in the back seat, "When you see the Library, say LIBRARY!" We both started laughing. They still watch a lot of Dora. It is a favorite to check out from the Library.
Sparklie shoes, a ballet outfit...what more could a girl want! Elle was so excited for her ballet outfit. She immediately put it on and it took almost 2 days and a lot of coaxing to get it off her! If you notice in the top picture of us all wearing the aprons my mother-in-law made, Elle isn't wearing hers. The reason is she didn't want to put anything over her ballet outfit. Silly girl. She certainly has a will of her own!
Louie had a great time over Christmas being held and played with. Her older sisters were more than willing to "assist" Louie in opening her presents.
Mr. N had an idea for this game we played at home. he got a giant candy bar and wrapped it up several times in different paper. Then we had to roll a dice in turn and when you rolled a 6...or whatever # you had to put on the hat, scarf & gloves, then try to unwrap & eat the candy bar using only a fork and knife while the rest of us continued to roll the dice to win a turn. It was fast pace and fun. The girls loved it. I think we all ate way too much chocolate though!
