Yesterday we went to the park at about 11 am. If it hadn't been 100 degrees outside this really wouldn't have been a big deal. It says something of the heat that we were the ONLY ones there. We lasted about 15 minutes. Before we left we collected a couple rocks from around the park. The plan was to make pet rocks by painting them and gluing google eyes on them. This morning we broke out the paints to paint our rocks. The girls were very excited about the project.
Here's the finished product. The girls painted the rocks and M painted the brick with me and I added a few things on the brick to make it more interesting. We're going to give the brick to grandma.
After painting we lounged in the pool and ate ice pops. That really is the only thing to do in this kind of heat! Notice the grass in the background? The entire lawn is burnt up!
