He's done! I didn't think I'd every really be able to say that, but Mr. N graduated last week and we ARE DONE with school. No job jet, but we're done!
Our good friend took these pictures for us last week. We hadn't really had pictures taken since Louie was about 4 weeks old, so we were well overdue! Pictures with a 20-month old who hadn't napped that day and was up past her bedtime can be challenging. It's a bit like trying to take a picture of a concept, or idea. It just doesn't work that well! The girls were champs though and we got some great shots.
This is a good example of how Louie was about taking pictures.
Our three little Minions.
This little girl loves to be the subject of photos. Elle will be 5 years old in just over a month and is just about to finish Pre-K. Elle is so fun and full of life, and very passionate. With that passion comes a lot of emotions and tears when things don't go her way...but we are working on it! She loves dancing and doing anything girlie. She also likes to change her clothes multiple times a day.
Louie is approaching her 2nd birthday at the end of the summer. She is a bit like a force of nature...hard to contain and harness. She is tough, totally fearless, and like any force of nature leaves a wake of destruction behind her. She is hilarious and makes us laugh all the time. By the end of the day we are usually so exhausted & grateful for bedtime. She wears herself out so thoroughly that she usually passes out immediately and sleeps about 13 hours straight at night. Best sleeper ever! Its nice because she usually sleeps through all the morning mayhem of getting kids off to school & then we can just focus on saying goodbye to everyone and taking care of her.
Emmy is as sweet as ever. She is the best older sister and is so compassionate and caring towards those around her. She is obsessed with rocks and bugs. Luckily we haven't had a repeat of last year when she caught a black widow spider in her bug box. I've tried to instill the fear of God in her about black and brown spiders. Bad, bad, bad... We also have a shoebox full of the most mundane rocks gathered from around the neighborhood that she constantly collects and washes in our bathroom sink.
My favorite people
Us!
Our handsome graduate! Its still hard to believe he's done. He seriously worked so hard. I can't even count the number of all-nighters her pulled completing projects...sometimes staying up for days at a time. He never missed a deadline
